Liz Tucker takes part in panel at the Belfast Media Festival - 6 November 2019

Liz Tucker attended this week's Belfast Media Festival, returning for its 10th year. The festival took place over two days in Belfast's Cathedral Quarter. Indies, broadcasters and commissioners attended the event, along with the cast from Derry Girls. Over the 48 hours, there were a range of activities including TED talks, BAFTA masterclasses and expert panels.

Liz took  part in a panel event: TV Ethics: Duty of Care - Who Cares? Joining her on the panel,  expertly chaired by Kelda Crawford-McCann were Alison Millar, Jacky Martens, Lauren Bradford, Beejal Patel, Emma Rosa-Diase and Tracie O'Neill.

The panel discussed the increasing pressure ratings can bring to produce more sensational TV, and what can and should be done  to protect both contributors and staff working on TV productions.
