Chair and Acting CEO of Women in Film and TV, Liz Tucker has announced the launch of new mentoring scheme for the Women of Northern Ireland, Women in Film and TV has extended its mentoring scheme to Northern Ireland with six places on offer in its first year.
Open to Northern Irish women with more than five years’ experience in TV production, the launch builds on a decade of the scheme in London.
The chosen candidates will recieve six hours of mentoring over six months with an experienced industry insider, plus telephone and email support, and the opportunity to Skype and network into additional training sessions in the London scheme.
Liz Tucker said the inititative was a "pivotal part" of the organisation's efforts to increase the amonths of events and activities it runs across the UK.
The London scheme has helped the career of execs such as Amazon Director of Original TV, Georgia Brown, and TCB Commissioining Editor Hannah Demidowicz.
